Sorry to bother you here but ROBsessed just blocked me and I'm PMSL over it because they just proved me right they don't really care about Rob.
So I will say here what I wanted to say there.
You do realize that the man can act!
And if A24 hadn't fucked him over and if the fans had actually attended his movies he could be up for Best Supporting Actor.
Did you ever think of using your mouths to lobby for him for awards season rather than drooling over your computer screens. Rob deserves so much better

You are so right Jason. Thanks

It's a pity Robs fans seem to be so wrapped up in hating KS they don't take their time or their money to support any of Robs films...

Hows about all of you grow the hell up...

I have watched all of Robs films even the pre Twilight stuff so I support him 100% and do a little drooling too lol

MC....Rob's fans are not concerned with his ex. That's all in your own imagination. They have moved on from her just like Rob did. She is hardly ever mentioned any longer by his fans and especially not on this site. You are listening to much to the HKH Haven bunch. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Jason Burka said...

Oh come on Guest One there is some truth in what MC said. It may not be true here but it is elsewhere. Some people just can't give up their favorite chew toy.
It will be interesting to see how long before Rob's "fans" turn on this one.

Rob's fans are only concerned with his movies and his career, not his private life that a lot of you can't seem to but out of.

Jason Burka said...

LOL...That may be the case here on RP Life but take a look at ROBsessed if you think Rob's fans are only interested in his movies and career. You can't get a decent movie discussion going over there with most of them. He has made some awesome movies. The Rover is GREAT and hell he should be up for awards for it. And DAMN Cronenberg can get a performance out of him like nobody but Michod. His Eric Packer was bone chilling. I was bummed when Idols Eye was cancelled. The two Rob's would have made a huge impact on the big screen. Assayas is a brilliant director and it would have been cool to see where he would have taken them, his style is the antithesis to American movie making. But sadly we'll never know. But I have great hopes for Childhood of a Leader and Lost City of Z. The outtakes with Cumberbatch should be hilarious!! And GIVE us LIFE and Queen of the Desert! So you up for a movie discussion? What do you think of Assayas and Herzog's styles? Both are European but both have a unique approach to film making.

I've been a Rob supporter for a long time, I've seen everyone one of his movies, I love discussing his roles and career choices.
MC the site you usually go to is really not that much better.
It's wrong to say that the people on Robsessed don't talk his career, they have had many good and in depth discussions over time. Maybe Jason, you went there on the wrong day. I love this site and two others simply for the professionalism in which these sites conduct themselves.

Really thats all you got from my comment. No discussion about the films I mentioned. Just like that other place. Well I'm glad you've had a better experience over there than I did. I supported someone who said that Rob was acting differently from what he has always said about his personal life and privacy. And come on man he is you can't deny that. And I got banned from the site after my first comment!
Thank you but no thank you ladies I think I will just stick with the guys. You chicks are just way to prickly about shit that shouldn't matter. Thats to bad cause forums like this could really benefit Rob with more discussion and less fawning. I'd say catch yah later but I think I've had enough. I'll stick to the movie critic sites. Just keep it in mind though Rob Pattinson deserves better

Jason I gear ya. I am a fan of Rob a real fan I have seen all his movies all but Little Ashes. I love to hear and talk about them and the ones he has coming up I can't wait to see Life, with that I also see a change in him I still love him but yeah he has changed and not do much for the better. I loved the fact he cut his hair again to look normal and I will admit I was happy we was in LA without Twiggs. I know some don't agree but he looked well rested in LA, I don't hate Twiggs (I don't know her) but I am no fan of her I tried to watch her videos and listen to her songs but just not for me some call me a troll but I just ignore them you don't have to like everything about someone to still be a big fan of them I just don't think she is good for him. Rob has always been happy and he always will be happy GF or no that is why I again just ignore the so called fans who say she makes him happy he was always happy. I am glad you are his fan and hope you continue to support him. Have a good night

hi all - yes jason i agree with what you are saying - ive always been a big fan of robs - ever since he walked through the cafeteria in twilight. I have followed him for a number of years but have never commented here till now. I agree about The Rover - i feel like he / the whole movie was screwed over by A24 - seems their whole marketing campaign was really weak from the start - one trailer (nothing else) - limited release and here in my country - new zealand it went straight to DVD - lots of people i know loved the movie - and not just the girls but alas no-one got to see it in theatres - and nothing more from A24 - after they built it up as 'one of the most amazing movies' - lots of praise for Robert from critics but no campaign for an oscar or any sort of award nod - not cool.

Jason I get what you are saying. I don't comment much because simply I can't, my real life is way and beyond full time busy but I've always supported Rob and always will. I'm not invested in his personal life and I don't want to. He is a grown man who is capable of making his own decisions and HIS choices don't have to please me.
I'm not good at writing reviews but I do want to say that what I love about Rob is his ability to transform. His transformation was brilliantly played out in The Rover. He blew me away, the movie may have been violent but what kept drawing me to it was the undercurrent of warmth in the way the relationship between Guy (who I think is also unquestionably brilliant)and Rey was evolving. Victims of their society. I can't say enough how much I felt the brilliance of Rob's transformation. And yes, in Cosmopolis he was just as brilliant but in a different way. I love that David C gave Rob the opportunity to show us what he's got within him to do. I'm excited for what he is capable of showing us. You are right, he deserves better. I don't want to get bogged down with his personal life, I'm encouraged by his choices though many find them difficult to understand. The very reason I was upset when Idol's Eye was cancelled was that I wanted to see another transformation and how great it would have been to see both Roberts on screen. I've gone on a bit but lastly I want to say that Childhood Of A Leader sounds very interesting. Sorry for the ramble but I do honestly believe that Rob, Guy, David M deserve an award.

Jason, I'd say that most people that frequent fansites like RP life and Robsessed are interested in Rob's personal AND professional life. Clearly you're no different - you admit your were banned from a fan site for commenting about Rob's private affairs, after all - so I can't understand why you are trying to shame us "prickly chicks" for doing the same stuff you do.

In any case, if you're looking to focus EXCLUSIVELY on serious film criticism and industry discussion, go to IMDB or even AV Club. The culture of both communities fosters that sort of discourse. I must warn you that you will find "chicks" in both of these communities - since you clearly have issues engaging women...
